WP 2: Trends in KD ResearchFor WP2 an internal draft of the Technical Roadmap has been worked on to. After the Management Board meeting in Torino, Italy on 17.05.2003, the different tasks for finalizing the technical Roadmap have been assigned to the management delegates. The first version of the technical roadmap will be published mid/end of July 2003. The main objectives of the Technical Roadmap for Knowledge Discovery methods, technologies and applications are:
Currently, the basic structure of the roadmap has been completed. Starting from the roadmap produced inside the MLNet, the new one has been thoroughly changed: whereas the old one was organized according to ML/DM tasks and methods, the new one is organized according to broad domains of application.
