How To Join


The Knowledge Discovery Network is an open network. Any interested European or Non European Research or commercial organization can apply to become KDNet Member.

KDNet member accounts cannot be created by persons not belonging to KDNet member institutions.
If your institution is not registered as KDNet member institution, you can register your institution free of charge.


The basic requirement for becoming a member is to attend or organize at least one of the network's activities.

Examples for the community activities are:
  • the contribution to the state-of-the-art European scientific and technological roadmaps
  • providing information for the Online Information Service
  • organization of workshops, conferences, research competitions, trade fairs, etc
  • initiating courses or providing (online) training materials for knowledge discovery technologies and systems
  • participation in research projects, discussion groups
  • enabling the integration of related areas of research with respect to knowledge discovery science

Depending on the nature of the activities, funding or reimbursement of costs will be provided.
