Forms of participation


The KDNet (= Knowledge Discovery Network of Excellence) is an open Network of participants from science, industry and the public sector. KDNet plays an important role in promoting and delivering state-of-the art know-how related to all aspects of knowledge discovery.

Different forms of participation to the KDNet project are:
  • organization of events (e.g. conferences and workshops)
  • contribution to events by giving presentations, invited talks
  • publishing event results, training materials on the KDNet Online Information System
  • elaboration of case studies, technical reports, etc.

The research activities and discussion meetings are proposed and coordinated by the community members themselves. They will be dissiminated to the different workpackages of the KDNet project:

Funding of Member Nodes

Funding is only possible for KDNet Members, who have already signed the Membership Agreement.
For further details, please contact KDNet Office.

Regular funding can be provided for example for general coordination of KDNet activities, for workpackage coordination, and other organizational tasks, that have the purpose to strenght and improve the Network. All funding proposals have been assigned in advance to the KDNet Management Board.
